Brisbane share house

Why Brisbane?

Brisbane has a number of universities, language schools and institutes that attract people from across Queensland, from other parts of Australia and from Asia, Europe, the Americas and the Pacific Islands.  Brisbane has also advantages for tourists with international airlines running direct services to Brisbane international airport.

The main universities are the University of Queensland, Griffith University and the Queensland University of Technology.

To the north of Brisbane is the sunshine coast with its many beaches of which Noosa is probably the best known. To the north of Noosa - Cooloola, Fraser Island and Hervey Bay attract many tourists.

To the east of Brisbane are the sand islands of Moreton and North Stradroke.

One hour to the south of Brisbane is the Gold Coast while the visitor seeking a less unspoilt and less hurried holiday is more likely to find Byron Bay much more attractive than the Gold Coast.

Mountain scenery can be found at Springbrook and Mount Tamborine or Lamington National Park.  However, my choice is the Tweed Valley and Border Ranges National Park.  Many of the great national parks in northern New South Wales are within 3-6 hours driving time from Brisbane.

About our share house

The house is situated near Wellington Point on the eastern side of Brisbane.  It is a brick house with tile roof, and gardens at the front, back and along the northern boundary.  Trains and buses are close by.

As at May 2008 we have a vacancy for a long term or short term tenant.
